Principal InvestigatorsFrank P. Stafford, Director of the PSID and Investigator of the CDS, is a Senior Research Scientist at the U-M Institute for Social Research and Professor of Economics. Dr. Stafford’s research focuses on time use, childcare, household saving and human capital formation, and the impact of monetary policy on household spending and portfolio adjustment.Jacquelynne S. Eccles, Co-Investigator of the CDS, is a Senior Research Scientist at the U-M Institute for Social Research, and Wilbert J. McKeachie Collegiate Professor of Psychology, Women’s Studies and Education. Dr. Eccles research focuses on self-perceptions of competence, task values and interests, life goals, self-schema, motivational orientation, and mental health. Robert F. Schoeni, Associate Director and Co-Investigator of the PSID and CDS, is a Research Professor at the U-M Institute for Social Research and Professor of Economics and Public Policy. Dr. Schoeni's research focuses on welfare and poverty, economic and demographic aspects of the family, and labor economics. Wei-Jun Jean Yeung is a sociologist and Co-Principal Investigator of the PSID. Dr. Yeung is Research Professor and Senior Research Scientist in the Center for Advanced Social Science Research in the Department of Sociology at New York University. Her major research interests are in the areas of family and children, poverty and inequality, demography, research methods, and public policies. Katherine McGonagle is the Assistant Director and Co-Principal Investigator of the PSID at the Institute for Social Research at the University of Michigan. Since 2000, Dr. McGonagle has been responsible for the daily operations of the PSID, including providing day-to-day management and oversight of activities related to data collection, data processing, and dissemination. Dr. McGonagle is a social psychologist who has authored many scientific articles in the areas of health, well-being, and survey methodology. |
